Well well well, what do we have here. Hellz Bellz collaborating with Reebok to make their first piece of footwear. Everyone who knows anything about fashion and in this case 'streetwear' will know Hellz Bellz are leading the field when it comes to their designs in both the female and male sector. This Reebok comes with the classic studs which seems to be a popular choice over at HB but also the signature typography on the inner soles which reads 'I'm 10 steps ahead of you'. And yes they are. I was hoping they would have more graphics and maybe even do a Reebox classic or even pump. But this does not disappoint, the more I look at them, the more I want them. So Lanie if you are reading this - I'm a US7 womens.

I was craving for some inspiration. My mind felt like it needed some visual, freekshow- style divine guidance.. haha so i turned to one of my favorite movie directors- Tim Burton!
He's creations always seem to inspire me on so many different levels!

When i was a kid, i didnt realise who he was, but seemed to love all of his films and his loony characters, Beetle Juice was one of my favorite films, along with Batman & Edward ScissorHands around the time.

ANYWAY

Beetle Juice has been on my mind for a few days now so having some free time today i decided to watch it! i actually forgot how awesome it is... Tim Burton is bad ass, his mind & his creations are amazing!

I too have been a lazy biznitch and haven't blogged.....even though I shouldn't be as I sit behind a flippin' computer. Nothing much to tell on my side apart from starting Uni Monday, my friend saw Ben Stiller on Regents St, paid off New York - going for New Years (if anyone has got any hotspots to go to in NYC let me know), need a boring part time job - no doubt in retail - but I really wouldn't mind a job in Habitat - I have been dreaming about it (true story), I am planning to make cupcakes but I do not have scales at home and I cannot afford to buy any, used my 4 lense Lomograpohy camera for the first time yesterday - black and white film - should be interesting, was close to just packing up and teaching English in India (TEFL)....which is what I will do if Uni is crap, and that is about it, wants a new camera but is thinking film is gonna be expensive especially if I ain't got a job anymore! Okay, so I haven't wrote a blog for ages, I've been a lazy cow- finished uni' & now I need a f'in' job!! I'm sick of working in a jewellery shop, then going the Candy Store (my 2nd home!). Please somebody save me from depressing Birmingham! There are no opportunities in fashion here (as I was saying to Rahda), unless you want to be stuck in retail (which I don't), because this is the crap you have to say, "hi there, do you need any help?", when what you really want to say is, "you miserable b*tch, stop messing the f'in' shop up!!!". (I write f'in' because that's how I say it, it's not good to swear, haha!)
Oh yeah, also it annoys me when people use abbreviation's like 'LMAO' & 'LOL'- it is so retarded!! If you're laughing, why can't you just write 'haha' or 'hehe'?? It's only one more letter!? The only abbreviation I don't mind is 'OMG' (oh my God), it's funny when boys say it, haha!! If you know anymore, feel free to post them. This time the victim is a 10 year old child protesting for his basic human right to live freely in his homeland.

The Israeli military said it would mount an investigation into the shooting of Ahmed Moussa, which comes just three weeks after an Israeli soldier was captured on video firing at close range a baton round at a Palestinian man who was blindfolded and cuffed.

The incidents occurred in the village of Ni'ilin, near Ramallah, where Palestinian and international protesters regularly rally to demonstrate against the barrier - which cuts the community off from its farmland and protects the Jewish settlements built illegally, according to international law, inside the West Bank.

I have heard nothing about this on the news today at all...I dunno maybe Sky isn't a great news channel but for 2 whole days now the couple killed whilst on honeymoon have been dominating the news. Yes, it is sad but what makes this case more important than a shooting of a 10 year old?? Wait - is it because they are British? Because they were newlyweds? Because they were young? The world's attitude seems to be - oh it's just another Palestinian child dead nothing new there, was bound to happen, he does live in the Middle East but oh no the great British are immune from being shot and the whole world should stand still if one of there's is kidnapped. People may not care what is happening to those who live thousands of miles away but remember this, when it comes to your own doorstep don't be surprised because what goes around comes around.

I know I should probably wait a while till I post this, let the hype cool down with the whole Cool Kids thing (pun not intended but kept in), but what I'm about to share is so serious and demands your attention I think that people like Missy La and Vezzy and anyone else with an interest in the real world, not the one where you judge people on how hypebeast they are, will appreciate and it may even interest people who have no clue.

I've known about this Photojournalist for a while he goes by the name of Zoriah (beautiful name). He has been all over the world - Palestine/Iraq/Afghanistan/Kuwait and many more dangerous countries - too many to list.

Award- winning independent Photojournalist Zoriah is currently on tour in Iraq accompanying the US army on patrol. On the 26th June whilst on patrol he stumbled across the aftermath of a suicide bombing. I will not be posting any of the graphic pictures as I think most be will be offended and most would find difficult to look through and if you are really interested you will visit his website below.

He brings an uncomfortable beauty to his work without taking away any of the severity or the reality of it. And I bet all those 'photographers' out there will realise what photography is.

Yesterday the Cool Kids were in the Candy Store as I'm sure some of you will know, &it was an excellent day- they signed t-shirts, had photo's taken etc. Then we went Wagamamas with Mikey, PJ (the DJ-hehe) &their manager, then the gig (which was also excellent by the way) &finally I'm getting to the real story I want to tell you about after the gig- the disgusting, skanky, groupie, HOES!!
There were two of them, both are about 16 years old & both are UG-LEY!! (I'm laughing as I'm typing this!). You should have heard the s**t they were chattin'! &their AWFUL, yam yam accents! Not to mention the cheap outifts. Now, if you're gona be a groupie at least look the part- not like you've raided Hypnotic in the BOGOF sale.
They were just shameless! Now if I had a 16 year daughter & she was out doing that s**t, I would drag that bitch home & beat the crap out of her!! Don't their parents care that their daughters are sleeping around??! Don't the girls themselves care that they're just getting used?? Probably not, but when we see them again (probably at the next Candy party), everyone will know what they are, & that's the biggest embaressment of all,

90% of the people I work with. I am actively job hunting..can't take these losers who bitch so badly behind each other's back when they think no one can hear (reception hears everything) and are all 'hi babes - hi honey -what did you do Saturday?' blah fing blah when they see each other. I work with snobs/knobs/bitches/testicles. It's a shame because it started off fine but then people started going - all the good people. After which you realise how boring and monotonous your work is.

My shiznit was in the paper!! Woo hoo! Check out the center image, that's mine....

It's based on Palestinian and Native American heritages, both nations have had their land and livelihoods taken from them, I wanted to educate people about their cultures so they can appreciate what these nations (especially the Palestinians), have lost, due to their displacement.

The show is on the 18th of June at Millennium Point, tickets are £10.

Speaking of books, I highly recommend this one- 'Brooklyn Gangs' by Bruce Davidson, it's a photography book & the images are classic!! There's only one thousand copies in the world & I am proud to say I own one!! I brought it when I was 17 'cos I read another book called 'Portrait of a Young Man Drowning' &this was the image on the front cover. I loved it so much I researched the photo and got the book- it cost £80!! 'Portrait of a Young Man Drowning' is also an excellent book by the way.
These books represent a culture that no longer exists anymore & if I could choose an era to have lived in as a teenager, it would have been the 1950's- the diners, boys with slick backed hair, tee sleeves rolled up, big shades, horn rimmed glasses etc. The 50's 'image' is iconic!! I love it, see if you do....

We all know about 'The New World Order' - the globalisation of the world - large companies like Coca- Cola, Motorola having more power than governments. Anyone who is interested in an alternative view of the world backed up by facts should invest in this book. I'm only on page 122 but have really, really learnt so much about the American attitude (people in power) and their policies. It will scare the crap outta you - the future ain't bright and it ain't orange.
